Incense making in Cao Thon village

Vietnam Information - Cao Thon craft village in the northern province of Hung Yen is among the largest incense-making villages in Vietnam.

This village has produced incense for hundreds of years. At present, over 100 families
 in the village do this traditional job.






They produce incense in large scale so all families have to hire workers.





Incenses are made manually.

Drying incense.













Incense must be dried under the sun for 1-3 days. Workers said that they 
avoid drying incenses by fire to maintain fragrance.
