Vietnam's Buddha statues make them to Asia Book of Records

The Maitreya Buddha statue in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang and the Buddha Entering Nirvana statue in the central coastal province of Binh Thuan have been recognized as the largest Buddha statues in Asia.
The India-based Asia Book of Records Organization announced the news on March 2.
The Maitreya Buddha statue is located on Cam Mountain. It was built between 2004 – 2006 and is now the largest of its kind in Asia, with a height of 33.6 meters.

Situated on Ta Cu Mountain, the Buddha Entering Nirvana, is 49 meters long and 11 meters high and is now the longest in Asia. It was built between 1963 and 1966.
A representative from the Asia Book of Records will visit the two statues by the end of April to award the certifications
