The photos are some of Fernandez's latest shots of Viet Nam from his recent trip to the country.
The photographer visited the country for the first time in 2007, and was surprised by local scenes and people. He returned to Viet Nam the second time in October the same year to concentrate on taking photos to record the changes in local life, so that Spanish people could understand more about a different Viet Nam - a peaceful country rather than a country of war as it had been engraved in their memory.
"I have fallen in love with Viet Nam," he said at the exhibition, "Because of the stunningly beautiful landscapes and friendly people, who always smile and open up to tourists."
That's why he continued to travel throughout Viet Nam in the following two years.
He said the collection on Viet Nam was among his favourites, which he had taken in various countries including India, Cambodia, Myanmar, Peru and Cuba.
He has submitted some of his photos of Viet Nam to the European Artistic Photographers' Federation in a bid to earn the title, "Qualified European Photographer".
His other images on Viet Nam have been displayed in Barcelona and four previous exhibitions in Asturias.
Fernandez plans to return to Viet Nam at the end of this year to take more photos.
Born in 1948, he worked as a turner before quitting his job to become a professional photographer. — VNS
