Circus performance in Hanoi

1 June 2014 was the international children's day and we celebrate this day every year in Vietnam. We bought tickets to see circus at 8pm at the Central Circus in Hanoi. I haven't seen circus for a very long time. Every time I go back to the circus, I always remember my childhood when my parents and teachers took me to the shows and it was always a big event for us. In the past, circus consisted of separate performances with introduction, but nowadays they are all included into a story. The subject for this year's circus is "Legend of Egypt". I had seen posters of the show outside the circus since May whenever I passed by it. The shows take place at weekends. Ticket prices are different. If you choose a show on Sunday morning, it costs VND 100,000 (about USD 5). Evening shows are a little more expensive, VND 150,000 (about USD 7) and VND 200,000 (about USD 10) for the tickets, depending on your seat locations.

A statue of Pharaoh was placed at entrance gate to the stage. The round stage was decorated with Sphinx in the background. All the seats were full today with mainly children.They were overjoyed whenever the light changed color and so excited to wait for the show to start. A girl came out to introduce the show and a Pharaoh sitting on an elephant appeared to wave to the audience. Then the princess riding a horse also greeted audience. She stood there watching performances of funny clowns juggling, two cat girls doing acrobatics, a man balancing himself on a ladder while juggling, performances of dogs, monkeys and bears etc. The God of Darkness appeared to kidnap the king. The show continued with acrobatics at high level, python performance, walking on stilts, balancing on rolling bottles, magician etc.

The God of Light came out to help princess rescue the king as a happy ending of the story. The show ended with various performances of the artists.

I returned to the circus after so many years and found it was very interesting. I was really impressed by talents of the artists. The music during the show was very good too. All the children had a great time and it was a great memory for them on their special day.

Xem biểu diễn xiếc "Huyền thoại xứ Ai Cập" tại Hà Nội

Ngày 1/6 là ngày Quốc tế thiếu nhi. Chúng tôi mua vé xem show diễn lúc 8 giờ tối tại Rạp xiếc Trung ương. Đã lâu lắm rồi tôi không xem xiếc. Mỗi lần trở lại đây tôi lại nhớ đến tuổi thơ của mình khi được cha mẹ và thầy cô dẫn đi xem xiếc. Nếu như trước đây, biểu diễn xiếc gồm các tiết mục đơn lẻ với phần giới thiệu thì giờ đây người ta lồng ghép các phần biểu diễn vào một câu chuyện. Chủ đề của năm nay là "Huyền thoại xứ Ai Cập". Ngay từ đầu hè, tôi đã thấy các tấm pano quảng cáo bên ngoài rạp xiếc mỗi khi đi ngang qua. Các show diễn thường diễn ra vào dịp cuối tuần với giá vé là 100.000 đồng cho show diễn buổi sáng chủ nhật, 150.000 đồng và 200.000 đồng cho show diễn vào buổi tối thứ bảy và chủ nhật, tùy theo vị trí chỗ ngồi.

Tại cửa soát vé có đặt một bức tượng Pharaoh. Sân khấu hình tròn như mọi khi với phần trang trí tượng nhân sư. Tất cả các hàng ghế hôm nay đều kín hết và chủ yếu là trẻ em. Bọn trẻ reo lên vui sướng mỗi khi đèn chuyển màu sắc, cảm giác thật háo hức chờ đón show diễn sắp bắt đầu. Một cô gái tiến ra chào khán giả và mở màn đêm diễn là vị vua Pharaoh ngồi trên lưng voi. Sau đó là công chúa cưỡi ngựa đi một vòng chào khán giả. Tiếp theo là các màn trình diễn của các chú hề vui nhộn tung hứng, hai cô gái trong trang phục mèo uốn dẻo, một nghệ sỹ tung hứng khi đứng thăng bằng trên thang, những màn biểu diễn của khỉ, chó và gấu v.v. Câu chuyện được lồng ghép với sự xuất hiện của thần Bóng tối bắt cóc nhà vua. Tiếp theo là những màn nhào lộn và đu dây trên không, biểu diễn cùng những chú trăn, đi cà kheo, đứng thăng bằng trên những chiếc chai lăn, ảo thuật, lắc vòng và xoay tròn chiếc gậy lửa bằng chân.

Câu chuyện kết thúc tốt đẹp khi thần Ánh sáng đến giúp công chúa cứu nhà vua. Kết thúc show diễn là màn trình diễn hỗn hợp của các nghệ sĩ.

Sau rất nhiều năm không xem xiếc, tôi thấy show diễn này rất hay. Tôi thực sự ấn tượng với tài năng của các nghệ sỹ xiếc. Phần âm nhạc và dàn dựng xuyên suốt chương trình khá hoành tráng. Các em nhỏ cũng có một khoảng thời gian thú vị, đặc biệt là vào ngày lễ thiếu nhi của mình.
